The season 8 kickoff for Grace Weber’s Music Lab was a PARTY from start to finish! 😎🔥

Our teen social hour started at 4 with eats from Ian’s Pizza & DJ tunes courtesy of HYIN’s own Anthony Foster aka DJ A Bizz. At 5, Our special guest J.P. brought the energy came through with Big Frank & the crew & set the stage ablaze with his opening performances. GWML Director B~Free then led a convo with J.P. on “Creating Outside the Lines Vol. 2,” as he answered interview & audience questions on how his unique talent, upbringing & authenticity lead him in the career he’s building. We then featured our teen open mic segment, with a PACKED stage of youth acts that shared incredible energy & talents on stage with original music, covers, singing, rapping & more 🧡

RECAP: GWML + AmFAM 4TH ANNUAL SUMMERFEST COLLAB

Sharing a few highlights from our 4th annual GWML pop-up showcase on June 27th, presented by American Family Insurance!

We journeyed back to Summerfest for star-studded treatment & a featured segment at the AmFam House; the premiere venue space that hosts notable musicians from various stages throughout the festival run - including our young stars! Program leader B~Free presented three amazing acts from the Lab program while allowing them an opportunity to perform for the first time at one of the world’s largest music festivals. With stellar talents in rapping, singing, music production & instrumentation, our Lab lineup definitely showed up & showed OUT for our audience of friends, family & Summerfest attendees.

Thank you once again to our program supporters at AmFam for presenting us with this opportunity! We look forward to continuing our collaborative relationship with wonderful orgs like this & creating more opportunities for our Music Lab youth & alum.
